A
volcano is a weak spot in the earth's crust where molten
lava from the earth's core bursts through. Deep below the ground pressure builds up around the magma until it forces its way up through the volcano and out of a hole. If the magma is very thick the pressure can be so great that the lava bursts out with a deafening roar. |
